We at the Center for Adoption Policy believe that there is only one kind of appropriate adoption: ethical, transparent and accountable. Anyone privileged to work in the field of adoption must create and live by work practices and procedures that adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. We are opposed to the condoning of human rights abuses under the guise of understanding and accepting cultural diversity. We are in favor of scrutiny and clarity and believe that in knowledge there is security for children and for the future of adoption as a legitimate and useful method of creating a family for unparented children.
